Fidler releases Goals for 2023 legislative session

I am supporting bills that address issues that I heard directly from people when I went door to door in District 94.

1. People have been upset and concerned about what’s going on nationally in our country – rising prices on goods, services and at the pump; inflation; health care costs; having the freedom to make their own health choices; being able to address what is being taught to our children in their schools; illegal immigration at our border; and our national debt, just to name a few.
2. Locally, people are concerned with the rate of growth Baldwin County is experiencing and if we have the infrastructure to address that growth, whether it be our schools, roads, sewer, broadband, water and other services.

I ran on the principles that I am defender of election integrity, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and States Rights, as well as the rights of the unborn.  I am an advocate of balanced growth, excellent school education, healthcare choices, clean water initiatives, and preserving the culture and history of farming and agriculture within our communities.  I will support bills and laws that address and support these issues.
We (our Baldwin Delegation, made up of seven House members and three Senate members) have held meetings in January to hear from Municipal and County elected officials and staff, Board of Education and school, Judges, law enforcement, and Coroner’s office.  We, as a delegation, will be working together to move issues important to these groups forward.

I am a co-sponsor on HB 7.  This bill was debated some last session.

DIVISIVE CONCEPTS include Any of the following concepts:

1. That any race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin is inherently superior or inferior.
2. That individuals should be discriminated against or adversely treated solely because of their race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin.
3. That the individual moral character of an individual is solely determined by his or her race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin.
4. That solely by virtue of an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin, the individual is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or subconsciously.
5. That individuals, by virtue of race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin, are inherently responsible for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin.
6. That fault, blame, or bias should be assigned to a race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin, or to members of a race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin, solely on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin.
7. That any individual should be asked to accept, acknowledge, affirm, or assent to a sense of guilt,Complicity, or a need to apologize solely on the basis of his Or her race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national Origin.
