The Alabama Trucking Association(ATA) is helping further trucking careers in Alabama. Do you know of anyone who interested in a trucking career?
Many friends at the city have gone into trucking careers in their retirement.
Thank you ATA!We’re doing real work to build trucking’s future workforce by advancing career opportunities and promoting skills development for aspiring drivers and diesel technicians. By attracting diverse individuals into the industry and supporting training and education initiatives, we aim to establish the infrastructure necessary to develop a sustainable talent pool of skilled and safety-focused professionals within Alabama’s commercial trucking workforce.

The Careers in High Gear initiative is sponsored by the Alabama Trucking Association and the Alabama Trucking Foundation.

Your Republican candidate for Secretary of State is Representative Wes Allen. One of the key issues important to me is Election Integrity.
We should all have full confidence in all our elections.
From what I heard today, I believe Mr. Allen will be working with State Representatives for that voter assurance. There were two bills introduced last year that I hope we will work on in 2023 regarding keeping elections secure and restoring voter confidence.

What your Republican Representative Elect has been doing:
meeting with community leaders, Congressman Jerry Carl, attended and thankful for a fundraiser given by Powersouth Energy in Montgomery, and attended the Alabama Republican Summer Dinner where we heard Lynn Fitch (Mississippi’s Attorney General). We heard how their case relating to a voice for the unborn was prepared. She explained several methods on how we must support women and these unborn children in the future. We heard from Herschel Walker (if you haven’t seen his documentary- it’s a must to understand who he is), Republican Senator Elect Katie Britt, and the Governor of South Dakota, Kristi Noem. Powerful evening opened up with a powerful prayer from our Supreme Court Justice, Tom Parker.

Some of the Volunteer work I have done nationally (over the last 3 years) is to be an America in Bloom advisor (aka judge).
americainbloom.org

In July, I traveled to Owen, Wisconsin and Castle Rock, Washington and spent several days with City leaders.
Both communities under 2,000 in population, have many great attributes, and desire to make their communities better. This work is somewhat close to my heart because it’s what I worked at for 24+ years between working at the City of Eufaula and at the City of Fairhope. In fact, I was a part of leading these communities through the judging and competing process over the years in similar programs or in America in Bloom.
I hope I can be of assistance to any of my new friends in the State of Alabama Legislature, who desire to understand some of the keys to making their home town more successful! Most of our Fairhope natives remember that thirty years ago, we were just like any other small, dying town in Alabama.
It started with the spark of an idea from Former Mayor Jim Nix who wanted to hire a horticulturist.
That was back in the mid 80’s.
